Five Behaviors of a Cohesive Team Training & Coaching Program

A Transformational Road Map to a High Performance Team

To truly transform your team’s culture to high performance, research shows a comprehensive team-building process must follow a road map that builds knowledge and accountability alongside real world experience for sustainable change to happen. Real learning is a process not an event.

Integrating training, coaching, accountability, and real-work scenarios provides the most effective vehicle for developing leadership skills.

Program Objectives

As a result of this Integrated Leadership Development Program, participants will increase Leadership Competencies in the following areas:

Building Trust

      • Communicates an understanding of the other person's interests, needs and concerns
      • Demonstrates honesty, keeps commitments and behaves in a consistent manner
      • Remains open to others' ideas and opinions even when they conflict with his or her own

 Conflict Management

      • Anticipates and resolves confrontations, disagreements, and complaints in a win-win way
      • Uses appropriate interpersonal styles and methods to reduce tension or conflict between two or more people
      • Deals effectively with others in an antagonistic situation

 Accountability

      • Keeps informed of performance through face-to-face meetings, written communications, and performance measures
      • Identifies and addresses areas of weakness that may affect performance
      • Takes full responsibility for results.

Training Format

The Integrated Leadership Development Program consists of seven Modules; each module has a two hour Training Workshop and two Group Coaching Sessions, scheduled over a seven month time period. The workshops feature an interactive model of training with group participation and specific skill building exercises related to his or her work environment. To a great extent, the workshop is participatory, using demonstrations, role-playing exercises, practice sessions and work groups to reinforce teaching points. Additionally, the bi-monthly Group Coaching Sessions assimilate the learning into just-in-time real-work situations for greater depth of learning.

Why Group Coaching Sessions?

  • Research shows training integrated with coaching focused on specific skill development is the most effective vehicle for skill development
  • Coaching provides laser focus accountability so team members are able to successfully implement new behaviors taught in the training modules
  • Each Group Coaching Session integrates the learning module into the supervisor/manager’s  engagement of the team member’s they are supervising

Nano Tool:

Our mindsets are determined by the questions we ask. Some questions have the potential to catalyze breakthroughs and inspire transformations. Others lead to stagnation and demoralization. The difference lies in whether you ask Learner Questions or Judger Questions.

What people say about Reni's Team Building facilitations:

"Prior to Reni’s involvement with our team, our department was chaotic and there was a significant amount of hostility between the individuals on our team.  The training she provided created a space for conversation so that we could resolve the animosity felt among team members.  She also provided us with feedback that has allowed us to improve our overall process and the overall feeling in our office.  The change on our team has been significant and has allowed us to better care for our patients and better support one another."  Non-profit Lebanon County, PA
